The Colossal Vessel - Animated Short

During a Summer internship at Studio Eeksaurus, I worked on an animated promo film for the KROK film festival that takes place on a cruise ship in Russia.
I was entrusted with designing the main character- a walking ship, as well as experimenting with styles and layouts for the film. Through my designs, I aimed to capture the freedom, vibrance and energy of the inner child of a creative mind and hence, for inspiration, collected drawings from children (aged 5-7) at a workshop I held in a neighbourhood preschool. Final Designs
The chosen style for the film was inspired by drawings of children I'd collected at a workshop I'd held at a daycare. The chaos in the lines and the characters is just what we needed - which required quite a bit of unlearning from our end.
